This Section of the site showcases some of the models at our club. Brief information on each model is given below. If you would like to find out more on any of these models, fill out our enquiry form.

Seagull Boomerang 40 Trainer

The Boomerang is the most popular trainer at the club, with members owning a number of examples. The Boomerang uses a proven training aircraft design, providing a stable training platform. The model is usually powered by a plain bearing 46 size engine.

Phoenix Trainer 60

The trainer 60 is a larger version of the Boomerang, with a flat bottom wing and lower wing loading, which provides an unbeatable training platform and a unique slow flying model.

Hobbico NexStar Trainer

The Nexstar is the most advanced R/C trainer available today. It comes complete with all radio gear and engine and features an Active Flight Stabilisation System (AFS). This system will allow the aircraft to level itself out when the pilot loses control, however it still will not fly the aircraft for you and requires a skilled instructor to teach you to fly, which is available at the club.

Scanner Low Wing

The Scanner is a cheap second plane once you have progressed beyond your trainer, usually available as an ARF kit for around $100. The aircraft is capable of more advanced maneuvres than a trainer, but is more difficult to land as it must be landed faster than a trainer. The landing speed of a Scanner is still low compared to most scale and aerobatic aircraft and it is still relatively easy to fly
